Hey everyone! 🍂 It’s been a while since my last post (life’s been busy), but I couldn’t miss the chance to create something warm and cozy for the season. Autumn is my favorite time of year, and it inspired me to build this Sims 4 Autumn Café in the heart of Newcrest. I wanted it to feel like a small-town community spot where Sims can sip pumpkin spice lattes, eat warm apple pie, and relax while the leaves fall outside. ☕🍁
About the Build
This café started as a small house owned by an elderly lady. When the neighborhood began to grow, she decided to transform her home into a community café where people could gather and connect. I loved that idea, it instantly gave the build a sense of warmth and history. The mismatched furniture, old photographs, and rustic touches make it feel like everyone in town contributed something to it.
I built it in Newcrest, which felt perfect for this theme. The neutral lighting, open space, and tree-lined streets add to that crisp autumn mood. The lot is small but efficient, and every corner has a story to tell.
Design Inspiration and Details
Warm Color Palette
I focused on warm, muted tones like orange, mustard, beige, and wood brown. These colors instantly make any space feel more inviting, especially when paired with cozy clutter like mugs, candles, and books. I used a mix of Sims 4 packs to achieve this.
Interior Layout
- Main Area: A coffee bar with a pastry display and espresso machine.
- Seating: Mismatched tables and chairs that give that “grandma’s house turned café” vibe.
- Decor: Family photos, plants, and fall decorations like pumpkins and string lights.
- Exterior: Wooden porch with outdoor seating, surrounded by orange trees and scattered leaves.
Gameplay Functionality
The café is fully functional as a small business: your Sims can buy it and run it using the Businesses & Hobbies expansion pack. It’s perfect for storytelling: imagine a retired Sim opening a cozy café, or a couple managing it as their dream business.
All objects are playtested, and the build works smoothly even on medium-spec PCs.
