Sims 4 Musician Luxury Apartment | Careers of San Myshuno

Welcome back to San Myshuno 🎶 In this post, I’m sharing my Top-Level Musician Luxury Apartment — Episode 2 of my Careers of San Myshuno series, where each apartment reflects a different point on the career ladder. Last time, we built a small, messy starter loft for a beginner painter. This time, we’re staying in the Arts Quarter, but going all the way to the top — luxury, drama, and full 80s glam. ✨

We’re building in 122 Hakim House — a historic apartment with old-world charm, perfect for a musician who’s already made it. This Sim performs on huge stages, releases albums, and lives surrounded by gold, mirrors, and memories of their success.

About the Build

This apartment was designed for a musician at the very top of their career. It’s glamorous, dramatic, and unapologetically expensive. The whole place follows a dark glam 80s-inspired aesthetic — deep browns, reds, and golds everywhere. Think reflective floors, mirrored walls, and palm trees in every corner. It’s basically the opposite of the tiny painter’s apartment from Episode 1 — and that’s exactly the point.

Design & Aesthetic Choices

🎵 Entrance & Hallway

The entrance immediately sets the tone — dark brown wall paneling from the Book Nook Kit and glossy floors from Life and Death Expansion Pack. I decorated the console table with flowers, keys, and letters (which I imagine as fan mail). There’s also a tiny guest toilet here, fully black and gold — small but classy.

🍷 Kitchen

The kitchen might be one of my favorite hacks in this whole build. I used two fridges for symmetry and combined Home Chef Hustle counters with Base Game cabinets — but flipped the cabinets backward and used sconces as fake gold handles. It looks absurdly expensive even though it’s not. The backsplash? Mirrors. Because marble walls are overrated, and 80s glam was all about reflection. The ruby red bar stools from Lovestruck add the perfect pop of drama, and yes, there’s a giant palm tree — because apparently, every 80s millionaire had one.

🍽️ Dining Room

Next to the kitchen is a dining area with two Life and Death tables combined into one huge marble centerpiece. The chairs are from Modern Luxe Kit — sleek but still luxurious. I also added a bookshelf there for awards or random cookbooks that no one ever opens.

🛋️ Living Room

The living room continues the glam theme. I used red velvet-like sofas from Life and Death and scaled up a City Living rug to fill the space. There’s a luxury bar from Businesses and Hobbies for afterparties, a massive TV, and mirrored walls again (because why stop now?). The gold accents from Modern Luxe tie everything together — rich but not overdone.

🎤 Musician Career Spotlight

The Musician path is part of the Base Game Entertainer career. Your Sim starts as a small-time performer, earning almost nothing, but once they hit Level 5, they can choose between Musician and Comedian. This build represents what life looks like at Level 10 — Instrument Virtuoso. At this stage, your Sim is a full-blown celebrity, collecting awards, earning massive paychecks, and living in pure luxury. This apartment gives them space to record, relax, and host glamorous parties high above the Arts Quarter skyline.

Design Highlights

🎧 Music Studio

The heart of the apartment is the music studio. I used the piano-key rug from City Living, added mirrors on every wall, and used black panels from Comfy Gamer Kit to mimic soundproofing. It’s packed with instruments — a grand piano, guitar, microphone, violin, and even a karaoke machine. There’s a trophy shelf from High School Years filled with awards, which I imagine are music trophies mixed with old talent show memories.

💄 Wardrobe Room

This was one of the most satisfying parts to decorate. The wardrobe uses the Grange Mudroom Kit by Peacemaker in a black-and-gold swatch, cluttered with clothing, bags, and perfumes. I moved the makeup vanity here instead of the bedroom — because it just makes sense for a performer to get ready surrounded by outfits. The red chair from High School Years adds the perfect pop of drama.

🛁 Primary Bathroom

The bathroom is pure indulgence — dark glossy tiles, golden fixtures, and yes, a black-and-gold jacuzzi. I combined Life and Death cabinets with a Base Game sink to create a custom vanity setup. There’s a separate shower with golden glass dividers and a seating pouf in the center — it feels more like a spa than a bathroom.

🛏️ Bedroom

The bedroom features the heart-shaped bed from Lovestruck (because why not?). It’s bold, dramatic, and ridiculous in the best way. The room has a wall-to-wall beige carpet, a small seating corner with black chairs, gold side tables, and — you guessed it — more palm trees. I also added two Lovestruck paintings, one featuring a mysterious figure that could be our musician or someone they adore. Either way, it fits the vibe perfectly.

Gameplay & Functionality

This apartment is completely functional and playtested. It includes items from Base Game, City Living, Life and Death, Lovestruck, Modern Luxe, Book Nook, Home Chef Hustle, and Grange Mudroom. It’s designed for storytelling, showcasing the glamorous side of fame — but still works perfectly for everyday Sims gameplay. The total cost is around §140,000, which fits the “superstar lifestyle” perfectly.

Pros & Cons

Pros

  • Perfect for high-level celebrity or musician Sims
  • Glamorous 80s-inspired design with luxury details
  • Fully playtested and functional
  • Beautiful night lighting and dramatic views

Cons

  • Very expensive — not suitable for regular gameplay
  • No outdoor area (typical for San Myshuno apartments)

Storytelling Ideas
