Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃 Today’s post is something a little spooky and a little cozy — the perfect mix for the season. I created this Sims 4 Halloween Apartment as my special holiday build, and it might be one of my favorites so far. This home belongs to a Sim who is absolutely obsessed with Halloween, and I mean all year round obsessed. From ghosts and candles to spiderwebs and a pet raven, this apartment has everything you’d expect from a true Halloween lover. 🕯️👻
About the Build
This apartment is located in San Myshuno, at 21 Chic Street. I wanted it to feel spooky but still warm and lived-in, so it’s not too dark, more of a cozy haunted vibe. The story behind this build is that the Sim living here loves Halloween so much that they’ve filled their home with seasonal decor year-round. They even have a small altar dedicated to the Grim Reaper in their bedroom, but don’t worry, it’s just for fun, not rituals!
What makes this build special is the balance between eerie and inviting. I used pumpkins, candles, and spiderwebs throughout, but also added warm lighting, soft rugs, and eclectic furniture so it still feels like a comfortable home. It’s more “witchy charm” than “haunted house.”
Design & Aesthetic Choices
🎨 Color Palette
The color scheme is all about deep oranges, blacks, and golds, with little pops of red. The warm tones make the apartment glow at night, especially with the candlelight. I also used a few debug items for decoration: they really helped set the mood without costing extra simoleons.
🕸️ Interior Details
- Living Room: A cozy setup filled with warm lighting, jack-o’-lanterns, and Halloween banners. The pet raven also lives here — it’s a real, functional companion that your Sim can talk to and interact with, which adds a fun and spooky twist to everyday life. 🐦
- Bedroom: A gothic-inspired altar with a Grim Reaper portrait, lots of candles, and cozy blankets.
- Kitchen: Decorated with pumpkins, candles, and autumn-themed clutter to keep the cozy fall vibe going. It’s simple but full of charm, the perfect spot for your Sim to grab a warm drink before heading out trick-or-treating.
Exterior View
Even though apartments in San Myshuno don’t have traditional exteriors, I created a small balcony space filled with Halloween decor and cozy string lights. There’s even a single chair to sit and enjoy the city view. At night, the orange glow from the windows and balcony lights makes the whole apartment look magical — like a tiny spooky hideaway above the city.
Gameplay & Functionality
This apartment works great for Sims who love supernatural or storytelling gameplay. It’s perfect for occult Sims, artists, or anyone who likes to live with a bit of mystery. There’s a functioning kitchen, bathroom, and enough space for one Sim and their beloved pet. It includes only Base Game, Seasons and Life & Death packs objects, plus City Living for the apartment functionality.
